Derby ONE set to launch a local service to the city this November

Derby ONE will launch on Saturday 15th November at 8am broadcasting live across Derby.

The weekday schedule includes Elliot Holman hosting Derby ONE Breakfast from 6am. Elliot said: “Derby is such a special place to me. I’ve lived here for the past 15 years and so much has happened, most importantly the birth of my daughter.
“I can’t wait to be doing what I love, morning radio across our city as we start the day together.”
Chris Birks takes over at 10am. “Derby’s always been home for me, and radio has always been in my blood,” he said. “To be back behind the mic, talking to the people and place I know best, is something I’m genuinely excited about.”
Dan Martin hosts the afternoon slot from 3pm. “As a guy who loves Derby and loves radio, I am so excited to get going, broadcasting to the best city every afternoon,” he said. “Even if the roads aren’t being kind, the tunes I’ll be playing will. It’s going to be really special.”
Derby ONE is already on air with a pre-launch preview online, via smart speakers and mobile app. The station says it will also broadcast on the city-wide DAB multiplex in 2026, once it is licensed by Ofcom.
