After a week of stunting with Christmas music, iHeartMedia has launched Soft AC “105.3 The Breeze” on WNOH Norfolk VA.
The brand creates an additional competitor to Max Media’s “92.9 The Wave” WTWV-FM and Audacy’s “101.3 2WD” WWDE. It will also succeed sister 107.7 WMOV-FM as the company’s Christmas Music outlet in the market going up against WWDE following WMOV-FM’s relaunch as CHR “Party 107.7” in December.
The new brand’s lineup will feature the syndicated Murphy, Sam & Jodi in mornings. Amber Payton will follow from 9am to 12pm. She previously was heard on “92.1 The Beat” WHBT-FM as ‘Ambie Renee’. iHeart national voices Kristina from 12-3pm and Chris Davis from 3-7pm will follow. Premiere Networks’ Delilah is added for nights.
iHeartMedia Norfolk Market President Denene Moore said, “We’re excited to bring a fresh, relaxing sound with 105.3 The Breeze. Whether you’re commuting, working, or just taking a break, The Breeze is your new go-to for relaxing favorites and feel-good moments.”
SVP/Programming David Miller commented, “This station is designed to help our community exhale, recharge, and enjoy each moment with calming favorites—whether it’s a weekday wind-down or holiday cheer later this year.”
Morning co-host Bob Murphy added, “We can’t wait to bring Norfolk listeners a fun, uplifting way to start their day. Our show is all about connection—sharing real-life stories, relatable humor, and content that makes mornings a little brighter.”
